The Peach Mama chilli (often sold under names like Big Peach Mama) is a modern superhot Capsicum chinense variety known for combining intense heat with a striking peach-coloured appearance.

The plant typically grows around 80–130 cm tall and produces bumpy, wrinkled pods about 5–9 cm long. As they ripen, the fruits turn from green to a soft peach or light orange-pink shade, which is part of their appeal both as an ornamental and a culinary chilli.

In terms of heat, Peach Mama types are firmly in the superhot category, commonly reported around 800,000 to 1.5 million Scoville Heat Units (SHU) depending on strain and growing conditions. That puts them in the same general range as very hot 7 Pot and ghost pepper–type chillies, though individual plants can vary.

Flavour-wise, they usually start off fruity, sweet, and slightly tropical, before the heat builds quickly into a strong, lingering burn. Despite the intensity, they’re popular for hot sauces, powders, and chili pastes, where their fruity notes and vivid peach colour stand out.

Overall, the Peach Mama chilli is best thought of as a highly productive ornamental superhot with a fruity profile and serious heat, aimed more at experienced chilli growers and heat lovers than casual use.
